HAIR FAIR 2018 EARLY ACCESS RAFFLE

It’s nearly Hair Fair 2018 time! ❤ I am super excited for this event every year! Some of the best hair designers on the grid, hair galore and you support a good cause at the same time! ❤

From the September 3rd till September 13th, TWO lucky winners each day have a chance to win early access to Hair Fair 2018 – one of you, and one for your friend. There will be 10 drawings, and tickets will be emptied at every drawing, so come every day to get your shot at winning! The only requirement is that you and your friend are available on September 21st, where the early access will take place.

Over the years in the lead up to Hair Fair, we ran a photography contest to win prizes and the most coveted early access to Hair Fair. This year we decided to bring everyone back into Second Life itself. The plan is to get people amped up and excited for Hair Fair by visiting different Hair stores all over the grid, and entering the first Hair Fair VIP Early Access Raffle.

To enter is a two-teleport process:

Teleport to one of the stores listed below click the ticket dispenser (as shown) and get a folder containing a ticket a landmark, and info notecard.
Teleport using that landmark, wear the ticket and click the entry terminal. If you happen to get distracted by wonderful hair and items on the way, well that is just more fun for you.

At the end of each Second Life day, we will list two winners on this website and a new draw will commence. You can enter a new draw each day just teleport to a different store, grab a new raffle ticket, wear it, teleport using the landmark and submit your entry at the raffle machine. It is that easy! Just remember you cannot use tickets more than once, and you cannot get a new ticket from a store you previously visited.

Fair(e)ly Fantastic.

In a few days, on the 19th of April, Fantasy Faire 2018 opens. For me, this is one of the best of the once-a-year events. Not just because of the amazing designers, but because it supports a cause that can hit anyone without warning, whether you’re rich, poor, famous or just beautifully ordinary.
I’ve had cancer close to home, as my mother suffered it, and now my brother does. My brother has been lucky, and the treatment is going well, however there are many out there, who aren’t so fortunate, where cancer gets the upperhand and families suffering the loss of loved ones.

When I went to my first Fantasy Faire, I immediately fell in love with the concept, and it was a whole new world for me. Not to say that in Denmark, we do not do charity, but nothing of this scale. It is only in the more recent years that we have really embraced charity concerts, fundraisers etc., and I am really glad we have!

And this year, I’ve been fortunate enough to get a peek behind the scenes at the Fairelands, and my love for Fantasy Faire has grown even more after experiencing just how much effort and LOVE that really drives all these wonderful people to work SO incredibly hard to make the Fantasy Faire run smoothly and gather as much as possible for Relay For Life. I’ve had friends say “You may not see me or hear much from me the next two weeks, because I am going to work at the Fantasy Faire.” As a new blogger for Fantasy Faire, and after watching the chat for a bit, I finally dared to say something about me being new, and “just” being a blogger. I was received with a warm welcome, and immediately corrected by several designers and event coordinators, saying that bloggers were the soul of the Faire – and it is really eye opening to see the love that everyone put into this event, and how wonderful an atmosphere these people create.

And that’s why I Relay – in hard times such as battling cancer, love, laughter and friendship is just as important as donations. We all have times when life kicks us down, and a helping hand getting back up in form of laughter, friendship, love matters more than one might initially think.

Flight of the Heart

This new gown from Just Because is so simple, elegant and romantic. I am normally not a massive fan of the plastic-y look, but I am slowly getting convinced that it can look beautiful, and this dress certainly helped that! Beautiful soft colors, as well as the lovely little heart that attaches to it. ❤

Buttercup

I used to make my own poses – still do occasionally for pictures, but there are two pose stores in SL that I have fallen in love with – Foxcity and more recently, Amitie by Belen Ackland. Her poses are so gorgeous, sensual and very feminine. The great care she takes in her posemaking really shows, as well as her imaginative mind.

The pose I am using below is called “Good Vibes” and will be a part of a series of really cute poses that comes out at Pose Fair 2018, which starts on the first! Yay!
